Two goldfish of similar form swim towards each other, their movements framed by ink that serves as the water. The undulating waves, rendered through the smudging of ink, shift in tone from deep to light, as if dancing with subtle shifts of light and shadow. Employing the traditional ink-splashing technique, the artist allows the pigments to spread freely across the canvas. The textures that form by chance delicately outline swaying water plants and rippling currents, transforming serendipity into artistic certainty.
