Artist ID:#001

#001's works explore the relationship between the individual and the family as well as society.Influenced by the original family, the early life brought too many restrictions to the artist, which shaped the artist's reserved character and also gave the artist an extreme longing for freedom.

Creating porcelain panel paintings is the artist's way of pursuing freedom and healing the trauma from childhood. The artist said that before putting the porcelain panel paintings into the kiln, the dried glaze is all fixed, and different glazes have complete edges;but during the firing process at 1300 degrees, the kiln fire will make the glaze flow again,so the boundaries between different glazes begin to blur, blend, change, and influence each other.Although this is the case, all the interactions and transformations are so free.

In the artist's view, these changing relationships are like the interactions between people, out of love or hatred, out of kinship, friendship,or romantic love...In all kinds of relationships, people are always pulling against each other but cannot break free, and freedom may not be escaping so-called bondage, but finding balance in relationships.

Influenced by his family of origin, the artist experienced many restrictions from a young age.He expresses the freedom he longed for in his childhood through his art. Most of his works are based on fish and water from the natural world. The pieces are fired in a kiln at a temperature exceeding 1300 degrees Celsius, where the irregular flow of glaze takes place.Within the confines of inert materials, the glaze, changing with the temperature, will always be limited to a certain structural framework. It is not until the temperature in the kiln cools down that the glaze, breaking through its limitations, and the inert material, accepting change, finally reach a reconciliation on the canvas.
